With our platform, it's easy to send a donor a customized fundraising page with a preselected amount, frequency, and payment method already populated for your donor to match their pledge and reduce fees. Here's how to do it:
1. Get Your Link
Find the link to your fundraising page. You may have it saved as a bookmark in your browser, or somewhere in your email inbox or outbox. If it's not there, you can find in in the Nonprofit Admin Portal. Sign in here. If you're fundraising for a campaign, use the link to your campaign fundraising. The same method will work for a core fundraising page.
2. Change Your Link
Once you've gotten your hyperlink, add this to the end of it:
For example, if a donor has pledged to give $1,000, you would add:
If you'd like to send a link pre-populated with a donation amount and have that amount turned into a monthly recurring donation, add this to the end it:
For example, if a donor has pledged to give $500 every month, you would add this to the hyperlink:
For one-time donations, simply change "true" above to "false".
If you'd like to send a link pre-populated with a donation amount, a donation frequency, and payment method, you would add this to your link:
To set the payment method to credit card, change "bank" to "card". We always recommend donors give with a bank account to reduce the amount of fees they pay to Stripe.
3. Visit The Pre-Populated Page
Go to the pre-populated link by copying and pasting it into your browser to ensure that it works. If it doesn't make sure that you are using the exact code phrase seen in step two. If it still isn't working, contact us by email or call us at 1-917-877-0533.
4. Send the New Link To Your Donor(s)
After you've tested your page, send it via email to the donor(s) who have pledged to give that amount to your organization.
That's it. Now, go ahead and do it on your own to bring in those pledged dollars!
